Coronavirus Update - Message from Pastor Hubbard

Hello St. Paul Family,

I want to give you an update on ministry at St. Paul during this season.  We have been closely monitoring the news about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we want to be proactive in matters concerning your health and the health of your family.  After consulting with local health experts concerning the coronavirus, and in response to recommendations from Governor Pritzker to cancel gatherings of more than 250 people, we are redirecting our Sunday services online for this Sunday, March 15th with the commitment to keep you updated on future services.   Although we will not meet at our physical location this Sunday, we are excited to provide an online experience that will continue to help us carry out our mission to transform lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ.   Please plan to join us online this Sunday at 10 AM for a unique worship experience via our website (, Facebook, Instagram (@stpaulbaptistchurch), or Youtube page as we continue to worship God for who He is in the midst of this season.   Please take note of the following:

When will our online church service be held?
  • Our church services will be held online on Sunday, March 15th at 10 AM.  We will continue to monitor the recommendations of the CDC, Peoria Health Department and our governor and will keep you updated on Sunday Services at St. Paul

How can I watch St. Paul’s online service?

Will we still have weekly classes and events?

  • All weekly classes, events, and meetings will be cancelled from March 16th - March 21st.   This includes our Wednesday night AWANA program.

Can I attend classes online?
  • Rightnow Media is a great resource for online classes and bible studies.  They offer free classes covering hundreds of topics.  We encourage you to embrace this technology and continue your spiritual growth practices this week online at

Will the church office be open next week?
  • The church office will still be open Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m

Can I still submit prayer requests?

How do I give to St. Paul?
  • We encourage you to continue your spiritual practice of giving.   If you have not given online, now is a great time to start!  You can give your tithes & offering by clicking here or by utilizing the St. Paul app

While there are no reported cases in Peoria County, we do want to take these precautions to ensure that those who are most vulnerable to the Corona Virus are protected.  Although our initial planning targets our worshiping community, we are also concerned about our community at large.  As a result, we are continuing to pray to see how God would have us support agencies or individuals within the life of our community during this time.

Throughout this season, it is critical that we maintain our focus to live and love like Jesus.  The coronavirus surprised us but it didn’t surprise Him.  He has prepared and equipped us to continue to walk by faith during this season.  Choose not to be conquered by fear, but instead to conquer fear with faith.  Walk in faith, post on social media in faith, and engage people in the community in faith.  Use every opportunity to proclaim in word and deed that our confidence is in Jesus Christ.  May God give each of us opportunities to share with those around us and throughout the world the good news of Jesus Christ.
